1. What is Control4 (What is a home automation system)?

A Control4 system is a cost-effective and convenient way to control all of the electronics, lighting, and HVAC in your home. With Control4 comes a fully customizable control system that can work with just one room or for a whole home integrated control.

2. Do I have to use my TV as the only method to select music, control my light, etc?

No. The TV is just one of a variety of different interfaces that can be used with your system. Other interfaces include a System Remote Control, In-Wall Keypads, or Touch Screens that can be in-wall, tabletop, or portable. Control4 even has a Mobile Navigator that can be used with your computer, iPhone, iPod, or Android device.

3. Can I use a Control4 interface to control other rooms from the room that I am in?

Yes. You may control any room in your house that contains Control4 equipment. To do this, you will need to be on the Home Screen on any of the graphical interfaces. Then select the room that you are in located at the top middle of the screen. Another screen will appear with a populated list of the rooms that may be selected for use.

4. My house is fairly old. Is it still possible to install a home automation system without remodelling my whole home?

Absolutely. Control4 uses both wired and wireless technology, making finished homes just as simple to install as new construction homes.

5. Why are some icons such as Watch or Listen not appearing on the home screen of some rooms?

Features that are not present on the home screen are not currently setup on the Control4 system for that room. Contact us to add new features and functions to your system.

6. Why should I buy a TV from Terken instead of getting one from superstores?

Terken only sells TVs that are good quality. Superstores tend to carry TVs that are made for lower price points. The TVs that we sell are tested and known to work well with our automation systems. TVs and other systems purchased from Terken will be calibrated correctly to work properly with other equipment. We will also address any problems with any device sold to you.
